It was a ‘get lucky’ day
October 25, 2013 was one of those always welcome “get-lucky” days. While exploring a new road that turned out to be shorter than I would have liked I found a cooperative young White Tail Deer buck. The luck before the good luck was not so good. I took a tumble and had to visit a doctor to get a nasty scrape looked after.
Fortunately, I had time to make the trip to the subject road. Click here, or on the deer to see the original post with another picture of the deer and a neat mountain top vista.
On the same road, I also found an old barn minus its bottom-most components but with its roof still intact, on the ground.
How it got there sparked a few conversations, the most popular of which was that a storm blew it there. That’s probably as likely as any, because when most building collapse, it is a lop-sided affair and this one appears to have dropped intact.
